Golf lessons near Wheldrake
On-course coaching south of York — real golf, on a real course. Free taster lesson if you're new to golf.
South and east of York — Wheldrake, Escrick, Elvington, Fulford, Dunnington — Dan's coaching happens where it counts most: on the course. This side of the city is home to friendly pay-and-play golf, which makes it perfect territory for playing lessons and on-course coaching without a membership in sight.
It's a different kind of lesson to the range. You play; Dan watches everything — decisions, routine, recovery, attitude — and coaches from the actual lies in front of you. For golfers whose range swing never survives the first tee, it's the missing link.
Where scores are made and lost
Chipping, pitching, bunker play, putting — roughly half the shots in your round, and the half almost nobody practises properly. On-course sessions give the scoring game the attention it deserves, from real lies, with a touch of real pressure. It's routinely where students save the most shots, fastest.
- ✓ The chip you always duff when it matters
- ✓ Bunker dread — replaced with one reliable technique
- ✓ Three-putt patterns and lag putting
- ✓ Club choice and course management — the free shots
- ✓ A pre-shot routine that holds up under pressure

A relaxed way to learn
If the idea of lessons conjures a conveyor belt of range balls, this is the opposite: a few hours of unhurried golf with a coach who's interested in your game. Beginners find it a gentle way in; experienced golfers find it addictive.
Prefer to groove the swing first? Dan's range base north of York and the Osbaldwick simulator are both an easy drive — many south-York students mix all three.
