Golf simulator lessons

See your numbers. Fix your misses. Free taster lesson if you're new to golf.

A simulator lesson removes the one thing that slows most coaching down: guesswork. Every shot is measured — club path, face angle, ball speed, launch, spin, carry — so you and Dan can see precisely why the ball does what it does, and watch the numbers move as your swing changes.

Lessons run indoors at Osbaldwick Sports Club in York: warm, private, completely weatherproof, free parking outside. The golfers who improve most over winter are simply the ones who never stopped.

Three jobs it does better than anything

Killing a slice (or hook)

Curvature is caused by measurable things — face angle and path. The simulator shows both on every swing, so the fix is engineering, not folklore.

Honest yardages

Most golfers think they hit a 7-iron further than they do — then come up short all day. One session mapping real carry distances changes every club choice you make.

Swing changes that stick

Mid-rebuild, feel lies to you constantly. Data doesn't. Measured reps are how a swing change survives contact with the course.

Numbers plus feel

Data without translation is just noise — so Dan's job is turning the numbers into one simple feel at a time. You'll never be buried in six swing thoughts; you'll leave with one change, the number that proves it's working, and a drill to groove it.

Simulator sessions pair brilliantly with range lessons at the north York range — measure indoors, flight the ball outdoors — and plenty of students run that exact combination through the year.

Where are simulator lessons held?

At Osbaldwick Sports Club, The Leyes, York YO10 — full details on the Osbaldwick lessons page, free parking outside.

Do I use my own clubs?

Yes — you hit real balls with your real clubs. That's exactly why the data maps straight onto your golf outside.

Is a simulator lesson good for beginners?

Genuinely ideal: private, warm, pressure-free, instant feedback. Many beginners start indoors then graduate to the range.

Summer or winter?

Both have their place — but from October to March it's unbeatable, when most swings quietly go backwards.

One-off or regular?

A one-off yardage-mapping or slice-diagnosis session is valuable on its own. For swing changes, a short series works far better.
